November 20154-7-15Submitted by: David Smith If you are new to gmail you may have experienced the aggravation when you copy and paste text from another source, ie webpage or document, and the text is in a different format (font, size, color, or even spacing). Well, a simple click will fix that. After you paste the text in your email simply highlight the text and click on the Tx button (the far right button on the menu at the bottom of the email) and it will remove all formatting. This can also be accomplished in Microsoft Word. When you paste text you will see an icon like thisInline image 8 if you click the down arrow button you will get these choices.The first is "Keep Source Formatting" which keeps the formatting just as you copied it.The Second is "Merge Formatting" which combines the two formats.The Third is "Keep Text Only" which removes all formatting.
